Hi everyone, I hope your week was amazing.  My photos for this week are of Seattle.  One of my favorite things to do is ride the ferry and take photos of the view from it.  As you can see I was in a black and white mood when editing.  The Great Wheel is a year old today so it is a newer aspect of the skyline, but it is so much fun playing around with what photos I can get in and around it.  I have not been up in it yet but am looking forward to it and the photos I will get from riding it.
Until next time,
peace and luv to all
Laura :)

Raindrops and Flowers

Really I just love when beautiful flowers have raindrops on them and living in Western Washington I get to see them a lot more often than others perhaps.  Here are some from last week after a downpour on my way home from the bus stop.

Hope everyone has enjoyed these, peace and luv to all,
Laura

What a week it has been

Yes, I know it is father's day here and no I don't really celebrate it since my father and all my father figures have passed away so I don't have some mushy father's day post, but I do have some fun photos from around town this week.

This is a Bohemian Waxwing - I totally looked it up, I just wish I could have gotten a few more shots before he flew off.

Yay the carnival is in town - this is in Burien for their Strawberry Days Festival they have every father's day weekend.

Summer in western washington means construction everywhere - but I think it is interesting so I take pictures of it.

This guy just got new shoes and cannot wait any longer to wear them.

The cherries in my neighbors tree are almost ready!!!

Thistles - I don't know why but I have always loved them.  Maybe because Eyeore eats them!!

The things you come across while walking around town.  How do you accidentally loose your shorts and not realize it??

These flowers are just so pretty.

And yeah, just everything about this.  The old building, the recycle bin and the sign just make this an awesome shot.

I hope everyone has had an amazing week.  Peace and luv to you all.

Summer is coming

Today 6/6/2013 was sprinkler testing day at the small parks around my house.  I am not sure if I was stalking the Renton Parks guy or if he was maybe stalking me, but we ended up at both parks at different times so I got some fun sprinkler shots.  I hope you enjoy them.
Peace and luv to all

Seen around the Farmer's Market 6/4/2013

We totally scored in the weather department for opening day of the Farmer's Market here in Renton.  And anyone from Western Washington knows - if it is warm and the sun is out -- we all need to flock to some kind of water, even if it is a fountain!!  So this is people around the main fountain, some kids in the little river fountain that is not turned on yet for the year and a few bouquets.  Oh yeah,  there is one dog who is really cute and a picture of the booth for the ducks that they let loose down the Cedar River during Renton River Days later in the summer.  (more to come on that later)
For now, peace and luv to all,
Laura

Setting up for the first Farmer's market of the year

I love these carts they have to haul things for the Farmer's Market volunteers setting up as well as the vendors.  I love market day (which in Renton is Tuesdays through the summer) and hanging out taking photos of people and items to be seen.  This year because of the hours I work, I only get to see the setup and the last hour of the market, but I will make the best of it and we will see what all I can find to photograph this year.

Peace and luv to all,
Laura
